On Sunday (February 27th), while backstage at Ne-Yo’s U.K. tour, Ne-Yo and Trey Songz were spotted discussing a possible collaboration on Ne-Yo’s untitled fifth studio album. Trey Songz opened up for Ne-Yo Sunday night at the UK venue, The O2.

Ne-Yo spoke briefly with MTV News about his fifth album, “Libra Scale was a project, it was an experiment. The people that got it, got it. The people that didn't, it's all good. I got a little cool for the room, I understand that.” Ne-Yo told MTV News. “But this next album is more about just listening to the music, vibing out, determine your own adventure, back to what it is I normally do. Be looking for that around September." Read More...

After a long day of water cooler talk over Charlie Sheen, bromance filled the timelines of many when Kid Cudi and Wale reconciled via Twitter.

Over an hour ago, today (February 28th), Kid Cudi initiated the reconciliation, with a simple, “yooo." Wale played it cool and responded, “yo.”

Then silence.

Last year (October 2010), in a candid interview with Complex Magazine, Kid Cudi spoke on his relationship with Wale, “I really don't understand what's up with this guy, but he's just somebody I don't click with anymore. I started making changes in my life and started to realize positive energy around me, and he never really had a good energy… He always acts like he's bigger than what he is, and I don't fuck with that at all…” And of course, when speaking of Wale, Cudi dropped the infamous line, “we don’t f*ck you, musically.” Read More...

Eminem Recovery wins the Grammy for Best Rap Album and with it comes several not so new tracks to hit the internet.

Studioleaks.info, the site that recently leaked Lil Wayne’s snippet of “You and I,” dropped a whole project of previously unheard Eminem tracks.

The mixtape/EP, titled Straight From the Vault EP, features eleven Eminem songs, varying in time periods judging by Em’s ever-changing flow on the tracks. The release has very few cameos, including one with Obie Trice on “Emulate Me,” one with B.o.B. on “Things Get Worse,” and another featuring D12 titled “Going Crazy.”

Fans of Slim Shady are welcoming this new wave of tracks, regardless of how long ago they were recorded. Read More...

Is Lil Wayne back in trouble with the law?

It appeared that way after DEA agents swarmed the Young Money CEO at Opa-Loca Airport in Miami as the rapper exited his plane late last week. The agents performed a search for contraband on the New Orleans native, who is currently on felony probation stemming from gun and drug charges incurred in 2009. However, officers ended up empty handed as Weezy’s plane and person were both free of any drugs or firearms and they let the briefly detained rapper go about his way. Read More...

Two years ago singers Rihanna and Chris Brown hit the lowest points of their careers.

In the wee hours prior to the 51st Annual Grammys (February 8th, 2009) the two were involved in an altercation while riding in their vehicle. The incident left Rihanna badly bruised with one specific photo circulated of Rihanna’s black and blue face. Fast forward years later, more photos have been released, and fans really wish they weren’t.

“Wow they're even showing those old photos of how @Rihanna was beaten on TV, that's rude as hell, & in the past!” one fan @VIIXXIVXCI tweeted. “So did y'all see the raw photos of Rihanna after her & Chris altercation yet?... I know they both wish all of it would just go away,” @KissmyKandee continued. Read More...

Dwayne Carter was released from Rikers Island on November 4th, 2010. Since his departure from New York’s the prison facility, he's been back to work on new material. His first post-prison appearance on record was for Birdman’s “Fire Flame” remix. He also assisted the likes of Mike Posner on the “Bow Chicka Wow Wow” remix, along with Short Dawg for “Money In My Pocket” remix, as well as a remix to Bruno Mars’ hit single “Grenade” and Chris Brown's "Look At Me Now." While Wayne’s features reveal a sobered Weezy, his rhyming are as sharp as ever.

XXL Magazine’s 4th annual Freshman cover leaked yesterday and on cue it had the Internet going nuts. Rather than the usual 10 artists, this year’s crop of hip-hop up and comers numbered 11; Meek Mill, Big K.R.I.T., CyHi Da Prince, Lil Twist, Yelawolf, Fred the Godson, Mac Miller, YG, Lil B, Kendrick Lamar and Diggy Simmons.

“Honestly, I was initially surprised by XXL's selections,” says Andrew Barber of Fake Shore Drive. “There were a handful of artists that I thought would make the cut, that were nowhere to be found i.e. Chip Tha Ripper, Vado and Danny Brown. However, there is some serious talent on here, so I'm excited to see what becomes of the Freshmen over the course of the year. It's been a gift for some and equally a curse for others.” Read More...

Chris Brown isn’t a happy camper following his Grammys loss, and he let it be known on Twitter yesterday (February 14th).
