Nicki Minaj is across the pond in London, performing and debuting a new look: The pink gumby. Do you remember the '80's hair cut where men's hair would be shaped into something generally taught in your geometry class? Bobby Brown was a gumby enthusiast. But he never ventured into bright colors.

It was recently announced that Miss Minaj will hit the storied stage of NBC's "Saturday Night Live" on January 29. Earlier this week we asked RapFix readers what song they'd like to see the Queens native perform and the results of our poll show that 42.8% of you would like to see Nicki do "Roman's Revenge." Is that perhaps because Lil Wayne took a stab at the driving beat that also features Eminem's famous alter-ego Slim Shady? Read More...

The New Jersey Nets might've lost to the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday (January 19) but the team's partial owner Jay-Z appeared to be thoroughly enjoying himself.

The Roc Nation head is currently working on his duet album Watch The Throne with Kanye West. The pair released their first single, the Lex Luger-produced "H.A.M.," not long ago to mixed opinions.

"Jay-Z made the song. His verse was electric, but it seemed like Kanye didn’t take the verse as seriously," Flexx, of Washington, D.C.'s WPGC, said. "He seemed like he was playing around." Read More...

Kelis and son Knight took a stroll through Los Angeles recently. Knight is Kelis' first child with ex-husband Nas.

Last week, the Los Angeles County Superior Court reportedly cut the financial support the MC was paying divorcee/singer Kelis by half, according to court documents rustled up by TMZ. The Queens native will be paying a bit over $5,000 a month in child support and $20,00 in spousal support.

It’s a pretty penny but not nearly as much when compared to what Nas was initially subject to hand over. The Distant Relatives rapper was originally ordered to pay an estimated amount of $500,000 per month in child and spousal support, in support of Kelis and Knight. Read More...

Diddy donned a tux and stepped out at Sunday's (January 16) Golden Globes event, presented by the Hollywood Foreign Press. During the evening, the Bad Boy head stopped by the official after party and chatted with Mark Wahlberg of "The Fighter." And while Diddy wasn't nominated for his performance as the charismatic music exec Sergio Roma in the comedy "Get Him To The Greek," the film did give the real-life music impresario a new found strength.

"I've done a lot of drama mostly my whole career, with Broadway and 'Monster's Ball' and stuff like that — my short little career. But when I did 'Get Him to the Greek,' I really fell in love with making people laugh," Diddy told MTV News on the red carpet at the Golden Globes. "I have a knack for improvisation, and hopefully I'll be able to make people laugh more." Read More...

The video shoot began on Thursday and sees the Tha Carter IV MC in the most costumes changes he's done to-date. As for the clip's concept, Young Money-Cash Money is remaining tight-lipped but we can tell you that the story is a nod to a popular, recently released movie. Read More...

From Miami to the United Kingdom, Lil Wayne is one of music's favorite MCs.

"Had an amazin' meet with Lil Wayne last night, the guys a genius! Thank you @redone_official and @onefeme!" Brit singer Cher Lloyd tweeted.

Gucci Mane’s got no shortage of ink on his body, but his newest tatt is definitely causing some heads to turn.

Last night tattoo artist Jason Murray tweeted that La Flare hit up his parlor in Atlanta, days after being released from his stint at a mental health/rehab facility, where he asked for an ice cream cone drawn on his face.

The piece, which nearly covers the entire right side of his face, features the rapper's "Brr" catchphrase on the cone as well as what appear to be flames or lightening bolts shooting from the top of the ice cream and the sides (fire and ice ... ). Read More...

Get ready to "Fly" Barbz.

As Nicki Minaj mentioned in an interview this week, she and pop star buddy Rihanna began shooting the video for one of their collaborations, "Fly." "Raining Men" is the pair's other duet from Rihanna's Loud LP.

"We're shooting the video with Rihanna for 'Fly' this weekend," Nicki told E! News on Thursday. "We're going to save the world in more ways than one with the video, and that's all I can say about that. ... I love Ri Ri! I mean, when she's not grabbing my ass, she's a sweet girl." Read More...

Another day and another mixtape — so goes the fluctuating recording career of Compton, California MC The Game.

The former G-Unit soldier recently leaked the cover art for his new DJ Skee-assisted mixtape Purp & Patron to his fans while he continues to prep for his fourth studio release via Interscope Records, The R.E.D. Album. The rapper released two free mixtapes last year — the well-received Brake Lights and the lesser known The R.E.D. Room, both hosted by Skee. Aside from a pretty sweet mixtape cover, little is known about the upcoming release. The features on the Game’s previous efforts have included, among others, Waka Flocka Flame, Dr. Dre, Busta Rhymes, Lil Wayne and fellow West Coast MC Snoop Dogg. Read More...

On Wednesday (January 5), Queen Latifah hosted the People's Choice Awards, which aired on CBS. The New Jersey native kicked off the festivities with a huge musical number, barreling down the aisles of Los Angeles' Nokia Theater in a black suit, big jewels and casual kicks, flanked by scores of dancers thrusting their fists in the air to Taio Cruz's "Dynamite." The Queen even got the audience, which including Kim Kadashian and her sisters Kim and Khloé, to join in the fun, as the sea of celebs waved their hands in the air as the hip-hop legend-turned-Hollywood player rhymed over the peppy track.

The performance set the tone for a night big on lighthearted appearances from entertainment A-listers. Read More...
