Before Eminem produced “Renegade” for Jay-Z’s classic 2001 album The Blueprint, the track originally featured Royce Da 5’9”. On Wedneseday's (May18) “RapFix Live” Eminem explained to Sway how the song went from a Bad Meets Evil track into the hands of Jigga Man.

“That record was actually made—we were starting to make that record. It was a situation where Jay had called me and I had another record that I wanted to present to him,” Eminem explains to Sway.

Is Eminem ready to put down the mic and get back behind the cameras? Tomorrow during an exciting RapFix Live episode Eminem touches on not just his and partner Royce Da 5' 9" 's Bad Meets Evil EP, Hell: The Sequel but Shady also recalls advice he received from West Coast O.G. Ice Cube during the early stages of his acting career.

"I think Ice Cube said this one time; I think I heard him say this one time," Em told Sway during their "RapFix Live" interview, which will stream on MTV.com on Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET. Atlanta rapper Soulja Boy sure knows how to get Hip-Hop heads riled up. When it was announced that Soulja was taking on the task of revisting the role of Bishop in the film "Juice" heads immediately began to target the Atlanta native. Never one to fold under a cloud of controversy, the SODMG founder moved forward his with plans putting the film in full-production. To add further insult to injury (at least amongst the critics), Soulja revealed that he's been solicited to audition for the upcoming biopic to play the role of Tupac Shakur. Fall out of your chair, rap fans.

Super producer Just Blaze hit the MTV "RapFix Live" couch on Wednesday (May11) and one of the many topics discussed (working with Jay-Z, beef with Cam’Ron, etc.) was Dr. Dre's long-delayed but still highly anticipated Detox album. Just has long been attached to Detox as one of its contributors on beats, and he revealed some details about the album to Sway. One tidbit shared was that since Dre "announced" the project (more on that later) in 2002, there have been multiple versions of the album recorded. Read More...

Last week's "RapFix Live" was filled with fireworks and controversy after visits from Lil B, Pharoahe Monch and Consequence, and this week looks to be just as exciting as rapper Saigon is set to drop by the "RapFix" studio on Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET.

Locked up as a youth, Sai got his rapping start in the NYC mixtape scene in the early 2000s. After a memorable street run, Saigon compiled the best of his mixtape material on the independent retail release Warning Shots in 2004. The MC would later hook up with hip-hop super-producer Just Blaze, sign to Atlantic Records and see his official debut LP, The Greatest Story Never Told, become one of rap's most anticipated releases. Aside from the music, Sai made a few headlines as well. He landed a recurring role in HBO's hit series "Entourage" and beefed with Mobb Deep's Prodigy. Read More...
