Nicki Minaj has finally released her anticipated sophomore album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded and the 19-track LP was crafted with the intent to satisfy both her hip-hop fan base and her legion of loyal Barbz. A new track from Diggy Simmons surfaced on Sunday morning (April 1) taking a few shots at J.Cole and the song has stirred up quite a bit of talk on Twitter. Seems like Diggy's dad, Run-DMC's Reverend Run, has been keeping an eye on the feedback because he tweeted in defense of his son this morning, writing, "@RevRunWisdom: J Cole.. Kanye West picked up an early Grammy Award tonight during the pre-telecast for Best Rap Album, with My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, meaning that he beat out his collaboration album Watch the Throne with Jay-Z, in the same category. Early in the live show broadcast however, Jay-Z and Kanye West both picked up a trophy for Best Rap Peformance with their hit single "Otis." has offered up his praises for each of the 10 contenders in MTV's 2011 Hottest Breakthrough MC competition, but he does have his favorite. Out of a group that includes A$AP Rocky, Future, Freddie Gibbs, French Montana, Kendrick Lamar, Machine Gun Kelly, Meek Mill, Lil Twist and Roscoe Dash, Khalifa is picking his Rostrum Records labelmate and fellow Pittsburgh MC to take it all: Mac Miller. On Wednesday (December 6), MTV News kicked off the second annual Hottest Breakthrough MCs competition, which will spotlight the ten up-and-coming rappers who lit up the hip-hop game in 2011. Each day we’ll highlight two new Hottest Breakthrough MCs before concluding on December 13, when the polls close at 11:59 p.m. ET. The 2011 Hottest Breakthrough MC will be revealed during December 14's episode of "RapFix Live," where the winner will appear on the show. Over the weekend Nicki Minaj joined Willow Smith in LA to shoot the visuals for the tween’s single “Fireball,” and while Barbie was thrilled to be a new member of the Smith clan, trouble was brewing on the Internet. When photos from the video set hit the web, angry Lil Kim fans took to Twitter and message boards with claims that Nicki Minaj was copying Kim’s style once again.
