Despite all of Vernon Davis' tears the San Francisco 49ers couldn't clinch a win against the New York Giants to make it to Super Bowl, but hey, on the bright side, they got Future to perform "Tony Montana" at Candle Stick Park. The Atlanta rapper performed his single on Sunday night (and at the 49ers NFC playoff game against the New Orleans Saints) after the team reached out to explain that they'd been warming up to the song for months. On an uncharacteristically cold and rainy Thursday (December 15) in Los Angeles, Wale and Big Sean teamed up to shoot the clip for the Ambition single, "Slight Work." One of the most notable things about the warehouse shoot was who was behind the cameras--Chris Brown. The trio of friends spent the entire day and night filming a few different set-ups, with Breezy calling the shots on every detail from camera angles to dancer choreography. There was even a point where he adjusted several of the lights himself. Read More...

Late on Tuesday night (December 13) a photo was posted on Lupe Fiasco’s LupE.N.D. blog, which showed the Chicago rapper in a studio session with Pharrell and Odd Future’s Tyler, The Creator. If your obsession with sneakers is as unhealthy as mine, you’ve probably been keeping track of Kanye West’s Air Yeezy IIs’ for quite some time now. Sketches of the supposed sequel have been floating around for a while, but the first glimpse of the new kicks first appeared back in February in Robert Rodriguez’s commercial “The Black Mamba” for Lakers star Kobe Bryant. During the grind house trailer commercial Bryant—incorrectly named the seventh best player in the NBA by ESPN—dribbles his way through cameo after cameo until he faces off with The Boss, played by West. After he's defeated, West retreats to his helicopter—naturally—and there’s a great shot of the Air Yeezy IIs as he ascends the copter’s rope ladder. Read More...
