Eminem and his Shady Records crew were the unofficial champs of the cypher session during this year’s BET Hip-Hop Awards. Alabama rapper Yelawolf made a memorable contribution to the scene-stealing segment, but since the show aired Catfish Billy’s bars on white rappers have attracted some scrutiny. Earlier this month Rick Ross suffered from two seizures, which sent the hip-hop community into a slight panic. Eventually it was confirmed that the Maybach Music CEO is recovering just fine but concerns about his health still linger. Ross’ Twitter account remained silent from October 14 until October 28 when he announced his to return to the social media site with the tweet “#thebossisback.” The Miami rapper has not revealed specific details about the incident, but both Meek Mill and DJ Khaled have addressed Ross’ health with Khaled telling MTV News, “Ross is doing great man, you’re gonna hear from him real soon.” Read More...

While fans impatiently await the release of Young Jeezy’s delayed TM 103: Hustlerz Ambition album, they can at least look forward to upcoming visuals for the T.I.-featured single “F.A.M.E. (Fake Muthaf-ck-s Envy).” Tip joined Jeezy on a closed set in Atlanta on Saturday (October 29) where they filmed their respective segments for the clip. Hip-hop record executive Kevin Lies was present for the shoot, where T.I. wrapped his filming session first. TM 103 is currently set to drop on December 20. The LP will be accompanied by an uncut version of Hustlerz Ambition, a film that charts Jeezy’s rise to the top.

Jamaican dancehall star Vybz Kartel (born Adidja Palmer) will stay behind bars until at least next Wednesday, when a judge will decide whether to grant the singer bail as he awaits trial on two murder cases.

According to the Jamaican Gleaner, that's when the judge in the case will make a ruling on the bail request made by Kartel's attorney's on Thursday. But, before that, Kartel will be back in gun court on Monday in connection with the second murder charge that recently brought against him. In that case, he is accused in the death of Clive "Lizard" Williams.

Beloved rapper Rick Ross is back home resting after a health scare last Friday that resulted in a pair of seizure attacks. The heavyweight MC was en route to a college gig in Memphis when his private plane was grounded on separate occasions where Ross suffered two seizures that sent him to the hospital. News of the incident was of deep concern for Ross' rap peers and fans across the board who all wished the popular rapper a speedy recovery.

“We actually been talking about him and praying for him on the trailer because he’s such a crucial part of hip-hop right now and we’re just hoping he’s healthy,” Nicki Minaj told MTV News. “That’s all we can do is pray and hope that he gets some rest and comes back stronger.”

Rest is exactly what Rick Ross has been getting a lot of according to his close friends. During his visit to the RapFix Live studios today (Oct. 19) fellow Ciroc Boy Red Cafe spoke on Ross' present condition confirming the Bawse was doing 'good' and just needed a break. Read More...
