When it was announced that Young Money superstar Drake would be absent from tomorrow’s “I Am Music II” tour launch featuring his YM family Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj the consensus was fans would be disappointed ... or not?

As the clock winds down inching closer to tomorrows kick off in Rhode Island whispers are getting louder and louder that Drizzy will appear for the initial date alongside his Young Money brethren. An appearance of all three all-stars together would mark the first since the label toured together for their first trek “I Am Music Tour” back in 2009.

One thing is for sure, Drake will not be available on March 17th (although the tour is off that day) as he's set to appear with former President of The United States Bill Clinton for a special fundraiser the POTUS is hosting. On the morning of this years Super Bowl XLV rapper Lil Wayne made an appearance on ESPN's "First Take" where he issued a friendly bet to rappers Wiz Khalifa and Snoop Dogg. Wayne's beloved Green Packers were up against rap's new Cheech and Chong Wiz and Snoop's Pittsburgh Steelers. The loser, as Wayne saw it, would have to trim their lengthy hair (all three rappers have a considerable amount of locks.)

In the end Wayne would prevail victorious after the Packers stunned the Steelers defeating them 31-25. However, in the eyes of Wiz an omission in Weezy's interview presented an opportunity lost. Read More...

Today NBA superstar Shaquille O'Neal celebrates his 39th birthday but every year around this time the hulking basketball star is haunted by the death of one of his friends, fellow iconic celebrity the Notorious B.I.G.

Shaq, just as the same with the late Christopher Wallace share the same age both coming into their respective fields at the height of their careers kicking in the door waving … well you know the rest.

Celebrating his birthday and remembering his rap pal on the heels of Tuesdays 14th anniversary of the Bed Stuy spitters death, Shaq spoke with ESPN's "Outside the Lines" as he recalls working with Smalls and gives his account of his last meeting with B.I.G. and how he could have possibly changed the tragic night where the MC was shot and killed in Los Angeles.

When the West was won is a fitting way to sum up tonight's 2011 NBA All-Star game. A Kobe Bryant led West All Star team defeated LeBron James' East squad 148-143. Bryant's win netted the All-Star his fourth MVP award, a tie for the most wins in NBA All-Star history.

The East was heavily favored to take home this years trophy due to All-Stars LeBron James, Derrick Rose, Amare Stoudimire and more. But in the end the West would prevail as Kevin Durant assisted Bryant scorching the East. Read More...

While thousands and thousands of die-hard NBA heads descended on the downtown Los Angeles area celebrating the annual All-Star game with a number of parties and so forth one topic has remained the talk of the town: where will Denver Nuggets player Carmelo Anthony end up playing?

The latest developments from out of Hollywood where Carmelo and all of his potential suitors have been for the past weekend reported that “Melo Drama” is nearing a close after the New York native met with Madison Square Garden honcho James Dolan on Thursday as well Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov and minority owner Jay-Z for a 40-minute sitdown yesterday evening. The Nets face to face meeting comes after tireless months of pursuing Anthony, not to mention Prokhorov’s stern declaration that his team was ending the wild goose chase for Anthony that had played out as a soap opera reminiscent of LeBron James’ free agency last summer.
