The Lil Wayne "I Am Still Music" tour whizzed through the Atlanta region last night and fans were more than delighted to see the Miami resident back in full form.

Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross and drummer Travis Barker took over ATL's Phillips Arena for an evening of good music and entertainment. The last time Weezy touched the stage at the arena, he was a special guest during Young Jeezy's set closing out the annual radio concert "Birthday Bash." Last night the YM founder stuck to the script he'd been using throughout the tour bringing out no special guests outside of his Young Money roster. For a minute, fans were expecting to see either Jeezy or Gucci Mane hit the stage but Jeezy was in Chicago crowning his latest Corporate Thugz Entertainment signee Freddie Gibbs while Gucc remains locked up in the county's jail on probation violation charges. It appears UK Lil Wayne fans will have to wait a little longer to see the dread head rapper live in action.

Lil Wayne has reportedly scrapped his successful "I Am Still Music Tour" for unknown reasons. While it's been reported UK officials denied Wayne a visa in light of his one year prison sentence on weapons charges he served for the majority of last year, there's been no confirmation on those allegations. Wayne, along with Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross and drummer Travis Barker have been attacking the states on their trek which is set to wrap up on May 1st in New Jersey during the Bamboozle festival. The Hip-Hop community is mourning the loss of another rap legend in Nate Dogg, who was laid to rest today in his Long Beach hometown. Earlier today Snoop Dogg, Warren G, Dr Dre, Tha Dogg Pound, cousin Butch Cassidy, DJ Quik, and The Game along with close family members all bid farewell to the golden-voiced singer who laced more raps than Baja Fresh.

Nate's death is another example of rap music losing one of its forefathers. Nate, referred to by his family as Buddy Love, wasn't just a rapper/singer. He was a pioneer, the first to integrate his gospel singing background (that he and sister Pam came from while attending the New Hope Baptist Church) into Hip-Hop music that rappers including Eminem, Ludacris and Fabolous amongst others just had to have on their albums. Mack 10 said it best: "It ain't a hit until Nate Dogg spit."

Outside of the aforementioned MCs, the line of rappers who sought after the singer for years for one of his catchy hooks was nowhere to be found inside the Long Beach Cruise Terminal where Nate's funeral was held. Even more unfortunate, Nate Dogg's family is now left with a litany of medical bills to cover in the wake of his death. Read More...

Last week West Coast hook legend Nathaniel "Nate Dogg" Hale passed away after a long battle with the effects of suffering two massive strokes over the years.

Nate Dogg introduced a hybrid style of singing and rapping, parlaying his signature voice and flow on various records with acts such as the iconic Snoop Dogg and fellow group member Warren G along with other notable acts such as Eminem and Mos Def. Nate became a reliable choice for guest appearances on some of the most high-profile rap records.

Today (March 25), family and friends remembered the man who put his G-Funk stamp on the genre. He will never be forgotten. Nate was truly one of the best to do it and his vast catalog of work speaks for itself.

From the world famous VIP Record Store on Martin Luther King Ave and Pacific Coast Highway to the New Hope Baptist Church just blocks down the street where hundreds of family, friends and fans gathered to pay their respects to Nate Dogg it was apparent that the legendary crooner, who along with Snoop Dogg, Daz, DJ Battlecat, Warren G and more all put the LBC on the map, clearly never forgot their hometown roots. Suffice to say, 50 Cent will not be getting an ice cream cone tattooed upon his face anytime soon.

As VIBE Magazine’s International Issue cover story, the rapper turned actor and entrepreneur spoke in the latest issue about rappers’ face tats and their personal brands. “To tattoo your face says that there's not a possibility that you can actually walk into a legitimate establishment without makeup covering your face every day,” he tells VIBE. “That does not work. It creates a separation. It says, ‘I'm an artist.’ That's it. That's the statement you make when you go and tattoo your face.” Read More...

You can call Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All many things (actually, DO NOT call them horrorcore, but nervous and anxious doesn’t initially come to mind.)

But that’s exactly what Tyler the Creator, Hodgy Beats and other members of the crew were before hitting the stage at the 2011 mtvU Woodie Awards in Austin, TX last night.

MTV News cameras were backstage and trained on the LA based crew to document their visit to the South by Southwest festival and caught them working out their nerves just before performing.

“I’m nervous like…Zoey Kravitz just hugged me and sh--,” said Tyler, the Creator to the camera. Read More...
