In addition to The Diplomats selling us dreams of Dipset peanut butter — do you promise Freekey Zekey? — we also have a "RapFix Live" segment called "Weekend Rotation." During this wrap-up, the hip-hop cognoscenti share what they'll be listening to over the next 48 hours. No Eddie Murphy.

"Right now, I'm listening to L.E.P. Bogus Boys Don't Feed Da Killaz: Vol. 3, it's that street hip-hop," Brian "B.Dot" Miller, of RapRadar.com, said. Read More...

Sitting at our computer and checking our @MTVRapFix timeline on Friday (January 21), we saw that Nicki Minaj was chatting with our British buddy DJ Semtex on BBC's online radio station 1XTRA. As we tuned in, Nicki began talking about her duet with Rihanna "Raining Men," where she ends her featured bars with a controversial line and the Weather Girls, who made the original song.

"I just wanted to be crazy, I wrote that track in bed actually. I had an off day, they sent me a record and said they needed it back in 24 hours and I wrote ... saying craziness," she said. "I wanted to make it more melodic and crazy. Read More...

Today MTV News spoke with producer Lex Luger who's behind Rick Ross' "B.M.F," Jay-Z and Kanye West's "H.A.M." and Waka Flocka's "Hard In Da Paint" as well as Fabolous' "Lights Out." The 19-year-old broke down a few of his hits for our "Mixtape Daily."

Rick Ross' "B.M.F. (Blowin' Money Fast)": "To take something that a lot of people thought was nothing and to turn it into another dimension of sound was crazy to me," Luger said. "The reaction from people that I saw was crazy to me. That's when I really knew this is what I wanted to do." Read More...

Wiz Khalifa's playful "Black And Yellow" anthem for the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Steelers football team has certainly worked. In addition to debuting his cut's "G-mix" video recently featuring verses from Snoop Dogg, Juicy J and T-Pain, the "Terrible Towel" enthusiast is set to perform the track on during the AFC Championship game on Sunday (January 23) where the Steelers will clash with the New York Jets.

In response — and playfully solidarity, of course — New York's Hot 97 radio DJ Funkmaster Flex and Mister Cee have banned the lanky MC's colorful song for the weekend.

"It's all love for Wiz Khalifa, but we can't let that song rock this weekend, not in the clubs," Mister Cee announced during his mid-day mix on Friday. "It's all about the Jets!" Read More...

On Thursday (January 20), The Diplomats reunited on "RapFix Live," which you can still watch here, to talk with MTV News' Sway. During the interview, the gentlemen touched on the loss of Harlem MC Huddy 6, who passed away late last year.

"My brother passed away in October," Cam'ron said. "If you're from Harlem or the New York area period, everybody know Huddy 6. He's the dude that go to the club with no money and leave the club without doing a show without performing. If you're from Harlem, you knew him. It don't matter what street you on, he was outside and you'd be able to find him. I just miss him, he was the definition of Harlem." Read More...

The Diplomats are officially in the building and ready to talk with MTV News' Sway on "RapFix Live" about their reunion. Remember the show is live so the guys will be answering your Twitter questions sent to @MTVRapFix with the hashtag #rapfixlive and your video questions submitted at Your.mtv.com throughout the show.

When we spoke to Cam'ron last year, the foursome, including Jim Jones, Juelz Santana and Freekey Zekey, were just beginning to get back into their Dipset groove. "Salute" brought fans back to the classic Diplomats' sound, characterized by booming basslines and epic anthems that seem to be made especially for New York radio in the summer. Read More...

Nicki Minaj is across the pond in London, performing and debuting a new look: The pink gumby. Do you remember the '80's hair cut where men's hair would be shaped into something generally taught in your geometry class? Bobby Brown was a gumby enthusiast. But he never ventured into bright colors.

It was recently announced that Miss Minaj will hit the storied stage of NBC's "Saturday Night Live" on January 29. Earlier this week we asked RapFix readers what song they'd like to see the Queens native perform and the results of our poll show that 42.8% of you would like to see Nicki do "Roman's Revenge." Is that perhaps because Lil Wayne took a stab at the driving beat that also features Eminem's famous alter-ego Slim Shady? Read More...

The New Jersey Nets might've lost to the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday (January 19) but the team's partial owner Jay-Z appeared to be thoroughly enjoying himself.

The Roc Nation head is currently working on his duet album Watch The Throne with Kanye West. The pair released their first single, the Lex Luger-produced "H.A.M.," not long ago to mixed opinions.

"Jay-Z made the song. His verse was electric, but it seemed like Kanye didn’t take the verse as seriously," Flexx, of Washington, D.C.'s WPGC, said. "He seemed like he was playing around." Read More...

It's a go time for Cash Money Young Money. As Birdman released his "Fire Flame" remix and Lil Wayne shot his "6 Foot 7 Foot" video with Cory Gunz, DJ Khaled introduced the first single, "Welcome to My Hood," from his upcoming album, We The Best Forever. MTV News spoke to the Miami-based DJ about Rick Ross' contribution to the record.

"Ricky Rozay, that's my right hand. He gave me another classic verse — because we always do classics together — but this verse is a little special because you can hear it in the tone of his voice," Khaled said of Ross' rhymes. Read More...

While The Diplomats are set to appear on our "RapFix Live" couch this Thursday at 4 p.m. ET, things weren't always so fluid between the gentlemen. Cam'ron, Jim Jones, Juelz Santana and Freekey Zekey suffered a very public rift that stalled the group's collaborations and left their fans hoping for a reconciliation. However in 2010, Cam'ron began recording with Harlem's own Vado and releasing their Boss of All Bosses 2.5 mixtape with DJ Drama, the Dipset leader seemed to have buried the hatchet.

"Jim's got a good work ethic too. His work ethic is crazy," Cam'ron said last year of he and Jones' reunion. "He's in the studio all the time. I'm in the studio. The producer AraabMuzik is signed to DukeDaGod. Araab went and took Jim some beats. I already had the beat [for 'Salute']. Jim said, 'Let's do something to this.' We got it done. Read More...
