RapFix handpicks a few UK hip-hop and grime gems for the week. Artists include Rascals, Big Narstie, Bruts, Lights, G Money, and Wretch 32.

Rascals Feat. Big Narstie – “My Different”

Kicking things off this week, we have the new one from four-piece grime crew, Rascals, featuring charismatic grime soloist, Big Narstie. “My Different,” which appears on Rascals’ recently released Class 90 Vol. 1 LP, has the east-meets-south London connect taking turns to chat a bunch of recklessness on Show N Prove’s punchy grime beat. See the equally reckless, VICE-approved visuals for the club-friendly number above.

Bruts x Lights Feat. Aleisha Lee – “Voice Of The Youth”

Bruts and Lights give personal accounts of what it’s like to be young men living in the hustle and bustle of the UK’s capital on the track, “Voice Of The Youth.” Both lyricists flow calmly over a hip-hop-soul backdrop to set the reflective vibe off perfectly, while Aleisha Lee’s sultry oohs and aahs near the end of the tune will make you want to pull it up one last time. Download Bruts and Lights’ free collaborative mixtape, I Ain’t Signed But I’m Nice, if you’re into that laid-back wave.

G Money – “Fuxk Boys”

Always Recordings’ new signing, G Money, is a rapper whose street heat has been warming up hoods up and down the UK for a minute now. And after a two-year hiatus from music, the north Londoner returns boldly this week with a message for all them “Fuxk Boys” out there.

Wretch 32 – “Daily Duppy” / “Redemption” (GRM Daily Freestyle)

All I’ll say on this is–and I say it without fear of backlash and complete confidence in his musical ability–put Wretch 32 up against any (ANY!) wordsmith from hip-hop’s home of NYC and see who comes out on top. That’s all. Thank you, and good night. *Drops mic*
