Better late than never? J. Cole finally fires back at Kendrick Lamar’s “Control” verse on the “TKO (Black Friday Remix).” Over Justin Timberlake’s “TKO” beat, Jermaine explains his thoughts about the now infamous verse.

“I was home alone, next thing I know / That long ass verse from a song called ‘Control’ was on / The room got nearer, the tune got clearer / That’s when I seen the s–t playin’ on your phone / Girl, what is that? A ringtone? / S–t, not you too.”

Cole continues on the track that also features A$AP Rocky and Pusha T, ” Man that hype done got you too / Everybody and their mama gassed / Even my mama asked what I’ma do / Decisions, decisions / In case this is war, then I load up on all ammunition / If a n—a want problems, my trigger’s on auto / I’ll make sure that nobody miss him.”

Many have responded directly or indirectly to K Dot’s verse. “I’m usually homeboys with the same n—-s I’m rhymin’ with/But this is hip-hop and them n—-s should know what time it is/And that goes for Jermaine Cole,” Kendrick spits on his famous verse.

Do you think Kendrick will even respond to J. Cole at this point?
