Jay Z premiered the Justin Timberlake-featured music video for Magna Carta’sHoly Grail” today. The collaborative video finds the two contemplating fame in a dark mansion while Jay Z watches classic sports videos alone.

Fans found the moody clip fitting to complement the song, which is the opener to Jay’s Magna Carta Holy Grail. “Holy Grail is pretty damn near perfect” tweeted Iamtawfik, while King Power added, “This Holy Grail video is FIRE.”

Taro Sukdeo commented on the video’s layers of nuance, some of which fans may not fully understand. “Holy Grail music video is like a true piece of art. Even though you don’t understand half of it it’s still so beautiful.”

According to Billboard, “Holy Grail” is the first major video to debut on Facebook’s video player. “What we’re doing with Jay Z today is really exciting and we think emblematic of the evolution of music and how musicians can connect with their fans,” says Nick Grudin, head of content partnerships for Facebook.

“And we think that is particularly evident in Jay Z’s approach here, which will really allow him to go direct to a massive and instant global audience. It’s something that only Facebook I think can really deliver in this way, given the scale of the audiences musicians have and the global nature of those audiences and the social dynamics of what happens when they engage on Facebook.”
