The robots have found their leader! Pharrell Williams and Daft Punk appear on one of the multiple covers for Vibe’s special 20th Anniversary Collector’s editions, following a recent spread with Nas and J. Cole.

The Paris dance-music duo composed of Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter are seen on the cover of the Summer 2013 issue rocking their classic black-suit-and-space-helmet look. Pharrell stands prominently in between the pair looking just as chic, sporting a matching black suit and shielding his eyes with a pair of Ray Bans.

Pharrell is featured on three tracks from Random Access Memories, the duo’s most recent gift to dance clubs everywhere. Pharrell co-wrote and supplied vocals for the lead single, “Get Lucky,” which is nominated for Best Song of the Summer at the upcoming VMAs. Pharrell told MTV News in June that he knew the song would be a hit but had no idea that it would become an instant summer smash.

“I didn’t know that it was going to be this,” Pharrell revealed. “I just thought it would do well, because it felt great and it felt different, and it felt like, you know, something different for the moment.”

The song’s global success has the trio feeling especially lucky. The single has reached the top ten in more than 28 countries, has been certified Gold or Platinum in five nations, and has set a record for “biggest streaming day for a single track” on the online music streaming site Spotify. It all adds up to a monster summer for Pharrell, whose other summer jam, “Blurred Lines,” is nominated for three moonmen at the MTV Video Music Awards on August 25.
