Say goodbye to Future Hendrix. Future has ditched the original title for his sophomore album in favor of a simpler one, Honest, and has finally set an official release date for the project: November 26.
“Honest is the new me. It represents the truth I try to bring to my music,” said Future about the upcoming Epic Records release. “I plan to break the mold with this album so that it will be nothing like you’ve heard from me or any other artist out. You can either tell the truth or face the Future.”
The lead track for the follow up to 2012’s Pluto is also titled, “Honest,” and and it debuted on Ustream Thursday morning at 12:01 a.m. EST. The track was written by the “Tony Montana” MC and produced by Metro Boomin and DJ Spinz, who have worked with Lil Wayne and Waka Flocka Flame, respectively.
“It’s like a club uptempo record,” Future told Rap-Up TV. “Now’s my turn to give them something from me without the features. It’s me by myself. I don’t have a feature on this.”
