Releasing an album and judging a reality show was never supposed to be easy. Kelly Rowland is juggling her workload to make her newly minted role as an “X Factor” judge work with her tour dates. The joint tour with The Dream was supposed to kick off this Friday (May 24) in Kansas City but now the tour will kick off May 25 in Little Rock, Arizona.
Although the “Dirty Laundry” chanteuse and her co-headliner had to adjust their plans a bit for “X Factor” taping dates, she is looking forward to the tour. “It’s an amazing experience to be able to perform live for your fans and The Dream and I are so grateful to have the opportunity to tour together,” Rowland said. “Even though we’ve adjusted our original plans a bit, we’re very excited.”
The tour will make it’s scheduled stops in Washington, D.C. on May 26th, Baltimore, MD on May 28th, New York City on May 30th, Philadelphia, PA on May 31st and Mashantucket, CT on June 2nd . They also added a stop at Caribbean Fashion Week in Kingston, Jamaica on June 8th.
The Dream, who’s album IV Play hits is set to drop on May 28, had nothing but well wishes for Kelly’s new gig on “X Factor.” “First, I want to wish my friend Kelly congratulations on her new gig at X FACTOR. Unfortunately, we have to change some tour dates which has been extremely hard for me and for Kelly,” he said. “We are looking forward to seeing everyone at a later date. But in support of IV Play, I will find the time to come to some of the cities left out to the best of my ability, if only to be in front of the fans that support us. So request this with your local radio stations and I’ll be there. I’m amped and ready!”
Kelly’s album Talk A Good Game is dropping on June 18.
