Seems like Big Guwop is doing a little restructuring at his label, or at least within his crew. In March Gucci Mane took to Twitter to declare that he was dropping Waka Flocka from 1017 Brick Squad after a falling out, and this week he's revealed that Chief Keef is now a part of the squad.
Keef is currently signed to Interscope Records via his own label Glory Boyz Entertainment, while Gucci is signed to Warner Bros, so the details are still unclear. But the Atlanta rapper announced this new alliance in a tweet on Wednesday (May 8) writing, "Chief Keef newest member of Bricksquad 1017 bmg gbe mpa," accompanied by a new logo for 1017 Glo Gang. An excited Keef reposted Gucci's photo on his Instagram account, adding, "#WhatTimeItIs?1017" to let fans know it was official.
Gucci and Keef can't seem to keep out of trouble with the law, so maybe this is a match made in heaven...depending on how you look at it. Gucci was released from jail last week after being indicted on assault charges, while Keef returned home from a juvenile detention facility in March, after serving time for probation violation, but he still continues to post photos of guns. This should be interesting to watch.
During a recent appearance on "RapFix Live" Waka announced that he was officially done doing business and making music with Gucci and it looks like Guwop has moved on as well.
