Just in case you were confused about what’s in store when the temperatures rise, J. Cole reminds us that a “Cole Summer” is on the way, with a brand new track and the promise of a new EP later tonight.
The North Carolina rapper gives some love to his mom (a former postal worker) with the single’s cover art and gives Drake a shout out for balling hard during their strip club excursions (“the difference is I’m throwing 4, he throwing 50”). And just so you know those stats are real, Aubrey confirmed it on Twitter, writing, “COLE SUMMER!!! Haaaaa. That’s my brother man. Bars too real. Too ill.”
“This right here is not a preview,” Cole tweeted on Monday night (April 29) when he dropped the track, adding a few minutes later that an EP would follow shortly. “F— it. Truly Yours 2 tomorrow. You Deserve it.” Stay tuned. Born Sinner is officially due on June 25.
