Busta Rhymes may be known for his spit-fire rapping, but his mouth may have gotten him in trouble in Miami. According to the Miami New Times, Busta allegedly had a freak out at a local burger joint and called the employees homophobic slurs including the “F” word.
Stephanie Vitori, owner of Cheeseburger Baby, tells the New Times she’s never experienced anything as bad as Busta’s rant early this morning. According to her, the rapper came to the restaurant around 6 a.m. and demanded to cut the line and get his food before other patrons. When the restaurant refused, he reportedly called a delivery employee a “f–” and the owner a “bitch,” and said he’d “come get [them].”
“We have had everyone from Jay-Z to Anthony Bourdain eat at Cheeseburger Baby,” Vitori shared. “Never have we had a problem with a celebrity. That changed last night.” She continued, “I deal with drunk and disorderly people all the time. I have been doing this for 11 years, but never in my life have I felt more disrespected as a business owner or woman.”
Busta has faced alleged anger issues in the past, including assault allegations in 2006 by an autograph seeker. The victim claimed that Busta and his bodyguard, Troy Green, beat him with their “hands and fists for no rhyme or reason” after he approached the pair asking for an autograph, according to a Reuters report. The next year, his driver claimed that Busta attacked him.
