Lil Wayne clearly has no worries. The Young Money rap icon may have been laid up in the hospital last week, but now that he is home Tunechi seems to be in great spirits. On Friday (March 22), Weezy released a short viral clip where he assured fans that he was doing fine and that he and his buddy T.I. have a tour coming up.
Not only do the fans get blessed with the great news, Weezy and Tip delivered some pretty funny one-liners in the video which landed exclusively on TMZ. Here are some of the best.
“A n—a more than good” – Lil Wayne
After giving fans a scare last week, it’s great to see Weezy with a smile on his face. While holding a half-eaten lollipop, the “Lollipop” MC thanked all his fans for the love and reassured them that he is doing just fine.
“My bum ass album, still comin’ out March 26.” – Lil Wayne
When most rappers are out promoting their work, it’s rare (expect for Odd Future’s Tyler, the Creator) that they downplay their art. Most will anoint their upcoming LP as “their greatest work” or “album of the year, ” but not Lil Wayne. In his vid Weezy joked about his upcoming “bum ass album” and didn’t even make a plea for fans to go cop. “March 26 I Am Not a Human Being II, you can go get that sh– if you want, if not it’s whatever,” he joked.
“You go eat some barbecue on the 4th, come holla at us on the 5th” – T.I.
T.I. is a serious man (just listen to his 2001 debut album), so when Tip jumped into the frame to promote the pair’s upcoming America’s Most Wanted tour, he made sure he had his priorities in order. The tour starts the day after America’s birthday, so after you get busy on the grill, you can go and kick it with the star rappers.
“And if I say it and it’s a lie, n—a Popeye’s a punk.” – T.I.
Popeye has never been known to back down from a fight and we guess T.I. has never been known to lie.
“Kiss my fist n—a.” – Lil Wayne
Weezy actually doesn’t want a kiss, he wants to punch you in the face.
