Georgia authorities have indicted a man in connection with the death of Usher’s stepson Kile Glover.
After seven months of investigation, Jeffery Simon Hubbard was arrested on February 28, in connection with Kile’s death. Hubbard faces charges of homicide by vessel, serious injury by vessel, and reckless operation of a vessel and was indicted by a Grand Jury in Hall County, GA.
On July 6, 2012 Kile Glover was struck by a jet ski while floating in an inner tube on Atlanta’s Lake Lanier. Atlanta area authorities launched an investigation into the accident as 11-year-old Kile was air-lifted to the hospital. He was pronounced brain dead upon arrival and he was taken off life support on July 21.
Kile was laid to rest on Friday, July 27, 2012 with celebrities like Ludacris, Jazze Pha and Phaedra Parks from “The Real Housewives of Altanta” in attendance at the one hour service. The suspect, 38-year-old Jeffery Simon Hubbard, is being held without bail. Usher has not released a statement.
