Chris Brown has come a long way since the 2009 assault that drastically changed his life and career. By the looks of it, he seems to be in a much better place after he and Rihanna recently rekindled their romance.
But it wasn’t all smiles on his path to redemption with the “Diamonds” singer. In arecent interview with The Mirror, he revealed that it took some time to win back her love, explaining how it was the biggest mistake of his life.
“Sometimes you row, you fight, with the one you love and things get said, stuff spirals,” he continued. “That night was the deepest regret of my life, the biggest mistake. But she loves me – what can I say? I’m forgiven… but, yes, I worked hard for it.”
He admits that the jokes and opinions of others no longer get to him. “People attack me and criticize me, it happens all the time. But they don’t know me, and they don’t know us. It doesn’t bother me any more. Other people can judge us but they don’t know anything.”
