John Legend and his fiancée, model Christine Teigen, have built a new love nest in the City of Angels. The couple, who have dated since 2007 and got engaged in late 2011, have always worked as a team; everything from picking each other’s outfits to planning an extravagant wedding, but for this residential re-do, the pair enlisted some help.
Sharing the new interior and exterior designs in an interview with Architectural Digest, Legend explained the reason behind customizing their property, with help from designer Don Stewart of Desiderata Designs. “Our style is chic and tailored but also earthy and casual,” he said. “Since this is our first home in Los Angeles, we wanted it to feel right not only for us but also for this city.”
The architecture of the home is described as a mix of old Hollywood and Asian elegance, an aspect Tiegen especially loves because of her half-Thai heritage.
And one of the most important new features–a brand new steel-paneled garage that conceals the front entrance from all the ‘paps’ trying to get a view. Sorry guys, this piece of real estate heaven made reality is for their eyes only.
