Frank Ocean Forgives Chris Brown, Won’t Press Charges

By Sowmya Krishnamurthy

Frank Ocean is finally speaking out on his recent fight with Chris Brown. Frank posted an open letter on his Tumblr Saturday, sharing, “AS A CHILD I THOUGHT IF SOMEONE JUMPED ME IT WOULD RESULT IN ME MURDERING OR MUTILATING A MAN.” Frank goes on to call himself an “artist” and “modern person” and says he will not be filing charges against Chris.

“I’LL CHOOSE SANITY. NO CRIMINAL CHARGES. NO CIVIL LAWSUIT. FORGIVENESS, ALBEIT DIFFICULT, IS WISDOM.

Fans applauded Frank for taking the high road. “Very positive and mature of Frank,” shared one on Twitter. “#TeamBreezy needs to calm tf down w/ this Frank Ocean ish. Alright, he’s move past it in a mature way, so lets do the same.#smh” threw in another.

Following the LA skirmish between Frank and Chris at the parking lot of a recording studio (possibly over a parking spot), reports began to surface that both parties were interested in criminal action. A few days ago, The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s department claimed that Frank Ocean “is desirous of prosecution in this incident.” Chris has not made any public comment on the incident, instead using Instagram to express himself by likening himself to Jesus. Following that, he made his account private.
