Alicia Keys crowned Obama as "the president on fire" during the Inaguration Ball with a moving performance earlier this month, but she saved some of that soul to belt out the national anthem Sunday night (February 3). Keys kicked off Super Bowl XLVII, where the San Francisco 49ers took on the Baltimore Ravens.
Donning a stunning maroon-colored dress, she sat by the piano as she delivered a soulful rendition of "The Star-Spangled Banner." During the song, the camera panned to Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis who passionately mouthed along with the singer.
Before hitting the Super Bowl stage for her performance Keys shared a photo of herself from backstage, telling fans, "Almost ready to sing at the @Superbowl! Is this football appropriate? Heels are my version of cleets!" Watch her perform above.
