Like a number of Loso’s hits ("Make Me Better," "So Into You" and "Baby"), the Brooklyn MC takes a break from his mixtape persona and sets his sights on the fairer sex. "I hear if you stay ready, you ain’t gotta get ready/ Call you when I get there, you just get your sh-- wetty, opps I meant your sh-- ready," he jokingly spits to open his first verse.
Breezy assists with a seductive hook, which is laid perfectly over the Runners pulsating production. "I feel it coming on strong,it’s so heavy/ She’s ready, I’m ready," Chris sings in a measured rumble.
For his last album, 2009’s Loso’s Way, the veteran lyricist delivered a balance of street jams like "Salute" with Lil Wayne and the thumping "Imma Do It." But man cannot live by underground raps alone so Fab balanced things serving up pop singles like "Throw It in the Bag" with the-Dream.
It’s a formula that has worked for Fabolous throughout his 10-plus year career, so don’t expect him to abandon the formula any time soon. Still, he looks to take things to the next level.
"This one is really growth and evolution," Fab told MTV News last July about his upcoming LP. "I think people know what I do — they know I've been in the game for a minute, but you gotta continuously show that growth and show that you're bringing something. It's the same thing, it's the same steps over and over again, but you gotta make it look new."
