Andre 3000 Speaks On Big Boi Remixes: ‘I Never Want To Mislead Our Audience’

With Big Boi jumping on Frank Ocean’s “Pink Matter” and T.I.’s “Sorry” (both featuring Andre 3000), many OutKast fans rejoiced about Big Boi and Andre 3000 finally sharing tracks together. 3 Stacks is now going on the record to dismiss these OutKast collaborations.

The rapper tells Spin, “I never want to mislead our audience – I worried that some would think these were Outkast collaborations. These songs are not Outkast collaborations. I discussed this rationale with Big, Frank and T.I. and everyone agreed.” He even adds that, “That is why I was surprised to read about these remixes.” Despite the miscommunication, Dre doesn’t seem to have any hard feelings against Big Boi. “I understand that anyone can put out an unofficial remix to any song but I have an obligation to be honest with fans about what this is … and what it isn’t,” says Dre.

Last year, Big Boi told MTV News that he’s over talking about Andre until a true OutKast reunion.

“I ain’t gonna answer no more Outkast questions… after today, that’s it. This the last one,” he barked. “Until you see me and Dre sit side by side… when you see both of us together then you’ll know it’s coming.”
