Chris Brown and Rihanna have served as their own paparazzi lately with dozens of pictures on Instgram and Twitter revealing rekindling their romance. While both are heavy with the PDA, there’s one person who became a causality as a result of this drama. Karrueche Tran, Chris’ ex, was the bystander who got swept up into this love triangle, but she maintains that she and Chris still have a great working relationship.
In an interview with VIBE Karrueche opened up about her fashion line “The Kill” with Chris and her feelings towards her current love life.
Although her personal life got thrown into the public, Karreuche does not want to paint herself as another causality of celeb drama. She told VIBE that she keeps a close circle of friends as a result. “I keep it very small. I don’t really go around and tell my friends my business. I’m very personal. I really, really don’t tell my business when it comes to a lot, even though my business is public. The things I personally go through within myself, I tend to keep to myself. It just creates more of a drama.”
It’s hard to keep away from the drama when all of it is out for the world to see but Karrueche doesn’t try to changer her life around it. “A lot of people are like, “Don’t go on your Twitter, don’t read the blogs.” I do read my Twitter a lot and I get a mixture of the positive people who are like, “I understand, I’ve been there before, stay strong,” and then there’s the negative people who are just always negative for no reason,” she told the mag.
As for her current love life the fashion stylist isn’t exactly happy with the way things turned out but is still optimistic. “I’m not gonna sit and dwell and become consumed in that negativity because I could very much be that person, especially when things are so public and so thrown in my face. But like I said, things can be much worse. So I’m good,” she said.
Although she’s single, she told VIBE that she really just wants to focus on getting her clothing line out. While both her and Chris are collaborating on a fashion line Karrueche isn’t going to let the issues stop her. “At the end of the day, he will always be a friend. We’ll always care about each other. We won’t allow that to interfere. Our business is business.”
And if she were to ever find herself in the same room with Chris and Rihanna, Karrueche said, “For everybody, emotionally, that would just be way too much. I’m a very mature person so if the time ever did come where we would need to sit down and talk, I’d do it. I’m a mature person. I can work it out but that would be a lot. (Pause) Yeah, it would be a lot.”
