Beyonce, Jamie Foxx, John Legend Call For Change In Gun Violence PSA

By Henna Kathiya

In response to the tragic Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting that shook Newtown, Connecticut last week, some of Hollywood’s biggest stars came together to film a short PSA pressing for gun regulation. In “Demand a Plan” Beyonce, John Legend, Chris Rock, Jamie Foxx and many other A-list plead for changes in the country’s gun laws.

The shooting tragedy has provoked an unprecedented amount of political discourse surrounding the nation’s gun policies. In the wake of the Aurora, Colorado shootings and many other terrible massacres that have seen an uprising in the past few years, it has become clear that the country cannot continue with their current policy against guns.

In the PSA, celebs have one goal: demanding that lawmakers make some changes to the country’s gun control laws. Demand A Plan stands in stark opposition to the NRA’s proposal to send armed guards to every school.

“It was tragic,”  T.I. said of the shooting during a recent appearance on “RapFix Live.” “You cannot be a human being with a heart that pumps blood and not feel somethin’ about that.”
