Future announced Monday (December 17) that his Freebandz Entertainment label will be joining Epic Records. Future will release his next mixtape Future Presents FBG: The Movie on January 13, 2013 under the union of Freebandz/Epic Records.

Future seems to be content with the merge. “LA Reid and the team at Epic made a great impact on my career helping me to reach an incredible level of success with Pluto. It made perfect sense to fully partner with them with my label Freebandz,” he said in a statement.

The Atlanta rapper has already demonstrated his talent for baking hits on his previous mixtapes Pluto and Pluto 3D. Both were released under Freebandz Entertainment with four of his singles making it to the Top Ten on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart.

His videos have also proven to be super successful, with his hits “Same Damn Time” and “Tony Montana” being viewed over five million times. The joint venture between Freebandz Entertainment and Epic Records promises more hits.
