As if we weren’t all crazy in love with Beyonce already, Pepsi drinkers can now look forward to drinking out of a can with the singer’s face on it sometime next year. As Pepsi’s latest celebrity endorser, Bey has signed a $50,000 deal with the company. PepsiCo doesn’t want this to be any old celebrity endorsement though, they want Beyonce to have creative freedom.
“Pepsi embraces creativity and understands that artists evolve,” Beyonce says of the new collaboration. “As a businesswoman, this allows me to work with a lifestyle brand with no compromise and without sacrificing my creativity.” See the new images via NYTimes.
The campaign will involve promoting her next album, television ads, photo shoots, and the limited edition soda cans. Pepsi will not go unnoticed on her world tour next year either. Pepsi logos will appear on the tour and the beverage company will also be part of choosing local talent to open for the pop diva in certain places around the world.
The deal is more of a collaboration between companies. It’s not about Pepsi putting Beyonce all over their commercials to get attention. It’s about working together and creating an artistic campaign that will benefit everyone involved. The Pepsi can bearing Beyonce’s face will debut in Europe first.
