Rick Ross Gifts ‘RapFix Live’ With God Forgives, I Don’t Gold Plaque

It’s been one heck of a year for Rick Ross. The hip-hop mogul has seen his Maybach Music Empire reach an apex of industry relevance with the additions of Rockie Fresh, Stalley, Omarion, Wale and Meek Mill. And now that his own album, God Forgives, I Don’t, has reached gold status, he’s thanking everyone that had something do with its success, including MTV News and the “RapFix Live” crew, which has supported him throughout his formative years as an MC in the game.

“This plaque is for all the fans and supporters of RapFix,” Sway told viewers on Wednesday, showing off the gold plaque Ross sent over. “We find artists early in their careers here at MTV News and we support them throughout their careers and hopefully our contribution helps them reach goals like this. Congratulations to Ricky Rozay.”

At the top of yesterday’s epic “RapFix Live” episode featuring Eve, Sheek Louch and Ghostface Killah, Sway showed off the commemorative plaque Rozay dedicated to RapFix, for its part in the album’s success. It had to be the first time a rapper has ever given a plaque to a music journalism show, but with Ross, who was crowned GQ’s 2012 ‘Bawse Of They Year,’ the meaning of a true boss is always realizing that you don’t become successful by yourself and taking care of your team.
