Big Boi, Macklemore And Ryan Lewis Dropping By ‘RapFix Live’

Big Boi is getting ready to release his anticipated second solo album Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors next month, but not before he makes a visit to “RapFix Live” this Wednesday. The OutKast veteran will also be joined in the studio by newcomer Macklemore and his producer Ryan Lewis.

After teasing fans with the single “Mama Told Me,” featuring Kelly Rowland, Big Boi has announced a December 11 release date for his latest album, and he’ll chat with Sway about putting together the upcoming project.

As one half of OutKast, Big Boi has released six albums with Andre 3000, but this will only be his second project outside of the group. Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors is a follow-up to his 2010 critically acclaimed debut Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty, which landed at # 3 on the Billboard 200 chart, after much delay due to troubles with his former label Jive Records. Confirmed features on the new album include Ludacris, T.I., A$AP Rocky and B.o.B.

Joining Big Boi on Wednesday’s episode will be Seattle-based rapper Macklemore and his producer Ryan Lewis, who stormed the charts last month with their tag-team effort on The Heist. The independent album hit #2 on the Billboard albums chart, moving approximately 78,000, a number usually unheard of for indie acts.

Macklemore first caught the attention of some fans with his spot on the 2012 XXL Freshman cover, but a rigorous touring schedule and a solid album have only contributed to his rising popularity over the past few months. With these talented artists at different spectrums in their career, it’s sure to be an interesting episode.

Catch Big Boi, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis on Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET/ 1 p.m. PT on “RapFix Live,” on RapFix.MTV.com, and be sure to join the Twitter conversation using the hashtag #RapFixLive. Send your questions for the artists @MTVRapFix!
