Jay-Z And Coldplay Performing At Barclays Center On New Year’s Eve

It seems like Jay-Z is on to the next one–on to the next performance that is, at the Barclays Center. After opening up the arena two months ago with 8 sold out shows, the rapper/entrepreneur and part owner of the Nets is performing yet again with a little help from UK band, Coldplay, on December 31.

His site, Life+Times posted a flyer alluding to the performance taking place next month. What a fitting way to end the year.

This is not the first time Coldplay and Hov made history together. Jay-Z performed with the group in London in early September during the 2012 Paralympics closing ceremony, laying down his own verse on the group’s notable song “Paradise.”

But what fans really want to know is will he be releasing any new music before the year is up? I guess it’s wishful thinking on our part, especially when Pharrell tweeted a picture of himself, Frank Ocean, and Jay in the studio last month.

From sitting courtside at the Nets opening game with his lady Bey to executive producing the soundtrack for NBA 2K13, one thing is for sure; Jay-Z remains on top of his game, carrying Brooklyn on his back. “Spread love it’s the Brooklyn way.”
