The entertainment industry lost a legend one year ago today, but he will not be forgotten. Heavy D, born Dwight Errington Myers, died on November 8, 2011 in Los Angeles after complications from a blood clot, sending shock waves through the hip-hop community. The Mount Vernon, New York native was only 44 years old at the time, but he will be remembered fondly for his acting, rapping, producing and, most of all, for his infectious personality. Below, fans and celebrities remember Hev.
