Rihanna surprised fans back in February when she linked up with Chris Brown for a remix of her single "Birthday Cake," but will Brown appear as a feature on her upcoming album Unapologetic? The album is set to drop on November 16, and while a Chris Brown collabo might still be surprising for some fans, it's surely not unexpected this time around.
This week a tracklist for the album hit the Net, bearing the titles of songs such as "Nobodys Business" and "Love Without Tragedy/Mother Mary" but it includes no features and the tracks haven't been confirmed by Rihanna herself-- still, rumors of a Brown collaboration have not died down.
Over the past few weeks the former couple have been spotted out and about in public, making it clear that they are no longer hiding their close friendship. Brown even confirmed a split with his longtime girlfriend Karreuche Tran because it was affecting his friendship with Rihanna, so that gives them free reign to record together right?
For their collaboration on the "Birthday Cake (remix)" earlier this year, The-Dream revealed that it was Rihanna's idea to reach out to her ex. "When she raised the question to me--I know she's not crazy--so my thought was you've been thinking about this, you've already thought it out, so evidently you know what reaction you gonna get," The-Dream said during a visit to "RapFix Live."
Months have passed since that remix was released, and with it being common knowledge that she and Brown are hanging out again, it would certainly be interesting to see what type of track Rihanna would come up with. The album title alone makes it clear that she's free to do whatever she likes at this point. Chris Brown's name has continued to pop up in every major interview Rihanna's done this year, including in her recent Vogue cover story.
