Rick Ross Opening New Wingstop Restaurant In Miami

By Maurice Bobb

Judging by the line, “She thinking Phillipe’s, I’m thinking Wing Stop,” he spit in “MC Hammer” from his fourth LP, Teflon Don, Rick Ross has an affinity for Wingstop. So it should come as no surprise that Rozay, who opened his first Wingstop in Memphis last year and another this year, has added another Wingstop location to his growing collection of yardbird eateries.

The MMG CEO will take ownership of the 20565 Old Cutler Road location in Miami and has a multi-unit, multi-state development agreement with the burgeoning wing chain.

“Miami is my hometown,” Rozay told RapFix. “And I want to share my favorite wings with one of my favorite cities. This is a hot spot and the crew is in place and ready to continue serving wings.”

To celebrate his new bastion of lemon pepper wings, his favorite, Ross will make a special, open to the public appearance at the location Tuesday, October 9, from 2 to 5 pm. Ross, who will release his new mixtape, The Black Bar Mitzvah, on October 8 on DatPiff, urges fans to come in for a meet and greet and stay for the wings and seasoned fries.

Last year, Rozay was late to his Memphis grand opening because of seizures. Fans were concerned about the hefty MC’s health, but DJ Khaled put those concerns to rest when he posted a picture of the two at the location enjoying their spread of wings.
