J.Cole And Major Lazer Link Up On ‘Get Free Coleworld’

After many a delay, J. Cole’s debut album Cole World: The Sideline Story dropped on September 27, 2011 and the Roc Nation rapper wanted to treat fans who bought the album (and the rest of you) to some new music on the anniversary of his release.

Cole took to Twitter to give a quick shout out and explain why he was releasing the new song “Get Free Coleworld.” “Much love to @majorlazer and my man @diplo. Let this be a thank you to all of you who bought a copy of my 1st album 1 year ago today. 9/27″ he wrote on Thursday night (Septmeber 27), adding, “The words were too relevant to keep this in the stash.

Last night J. Cole joined his Roc Nation boss Jay-Z in Brooklyn, New York to open the brand new 40/40 club inside the Brooklyn Nets’ new Barclays Arena. The North Carolina rapper has been releasing one-off singles over the past few weeks, but no word yet on where they’ll end up.
