Usher has seen his personal life spread across headlines for the past year, even as he released his latest album Looking 4 Myself, and in an upcoming interview on Oprah's "Next Chapter" the singer gets candid.
On Tuesday, Oprah's OWN network released a teaser clip of the pre-taped interview. Ush didn't say much during the clip, but Oprah threw a number of candid questions toward him that he will be sure to answer. "Were you faithful to her?" Oprah asked Usher about his ex-wife Tameka Foster.
The media mogul went on to ask the R&B icon about his custody battle as well as his relationship with his mother. Oprah seemingly grills Usher about everything. In response to his January 2011 breakdown in a concert in Germany he simply says: "I felt like I would never perform again."
There is no sign as to whether or not the two discussed the recent death of his 11-year-old stepson Kile Glover, who passed away in July after he was severely injured in a boating accident.
On the musical side of things, Ush has had a very successful year releasing his seventh studio album Looking 4 Myselfwhile spawning a number of singles like "Climax" and "Lemme See" with Rick Ross.
The interview does seem to get light-hearted. Usher could hardly contain himself when Oprah asks if he makes love to his own music. "I love that," he responded while laughing.
The entire interview will air on Oprah's "Next Chapter" Sunday, September 16, at 9 p.m. ET on OWN.
