Wiz Khalifa Rounds Up Lil Wayne And Young Jeezy For ‘Work Hard Play Hard’ Remix

By Rob Markman

With only a few weeks until his O.N.I.F.C. LP drops it seems Wiz Khalifa is working harder than ever recruiting Lil Wayne and Young Jeezy for the remix to his “Work Hard Play Hard” single.

The Taylor Gang captain took to Twitter early Saturday morning (August 25) to tweet a link to the remix to his already platinum track. The Snowman sets things off with his patented ad-libs and d-boy wordplay, twisting Khalifa’s flow from the original spitting: “Every night it’s champagne n—a/ Key to life, maintain n—a/ Nothin’ changed but the chain n—a/ What weigh a ki? My chain n—a.”

The Stargate/Benny Blanco instrumental and catchy hook both remain untouched, but new verses from Wiz and his guests make all the difference. “Work hard, play hard, my d–k, stay hard/ But suck my skate-board,” Tunechi rhymes nodding to his favorite past time to end his 16.

Cap rounds things out saving his bars for last. In his verse Wiz spits of his latest European tour reminding listeners that he “be goin’ to different countries gettin’ money” and that he perpetually exists in a blunt-free zone. To the victor goes the spoils and the T.G.O.D. leader isn’t shy when showcasing his stats. “Rich n—a, cool dude/ Rock star like U2/ Camos on, you too/ 100 million views on YouTube,” he raps.

Originally O.N.I.F.C. was scheduled to be released August 28, but due to a pushback fans will have to wait just a few weeks later until September 18. The anticipation is building, but luckily Khalifa dropped this to hold us over.
