Known for her off-the-wall music and for talking slick on Twitter, Azealia Banks now uses that fierce tongue of hers through another channel, inher new "Van Vogue” video. In the dark clip, the fashion forward rapper lacks no attitude as she takes on her mermaid persona, diving in and out of water.
Banks certainly rocks some sick pieces in the Rankin-directed video, adding some light to the opaque visuals with several designer pieces. With the addition of the obscene lyrics, this video certainly solidifies that this quick tempered femcee is a force not to be reckoned with.
In between releasing this clip, Azealia also recently made sure to let her newest foe Jim Jones know that talking crazy about her is not something she takes lightly, taking jabs at him in her single “Succubi." Rapping “Why these ni---s push me? I get spooky as hell ya local f----r. Will rattle ya spell," clearly referencing to Jim’s “Vampire Life” movement.
If you need more Banks, catch the Harlem diva on the cover of Spin magazine's September/October issue. She poses in a few eccentric shots for photographer Jason Nocito, showing off a more silly side making an array of faces for the cameras.
