Yasiin Bey, FKA Mos Def, is featured in new ad spots for Louis Vuitton as part of the luxury line’s Core Values campaign, inspired by legendary boxer Muhammad Ali.

The new videos, “Dream” and “Word,” were shot by Stuart McIntyre and show Bey dramatically reciting lines made famous by Ali while invoking the boxer in the ring. Visual artist Niels Shoe Meulman draws on the ring as Bey talks, culminating in a visual and sonic piece of art.

This adds to the list of high-profile rap/fashion collaborations of late. Last week, RapFix reported that Azealia Banks is now the face of T By Alexander Wang. Previously, Banks’ “212″ provided the soundtrack for Wang’s Spring 2012 campaign video. Other musicians who have worked with Wang in the past include Spank Rock and Santigold.

Yasiin Bey has been active as a featured guest on the large and small screens recently. He was a featured lyricist in Ice T’s “Art Of Rap” documentary alongside other hip-hop heavyweights like Rakim, Chuck D and Grandmaster Caz.
