Cassidy has some issues with fellow Philadelphia native Meek Mill. Once collaborators, Meek has since moved on and achieved rap stardom with Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group crew, and now Cassidy feels insulted by his exclusion.
Of course, the spat started and ended on Twitter. Last night, Cassidy began retweeting comments from his followers questioning why the two hadn’t collaborated since Meek’s jump to the majors. “How come when @MeekMill got put on mmg he aint do nothing wit @CASSIDY_LARSINY? They my two favorite rappers,” said the one that started it all from @illuminlester.
Meek, angry at the implication, then challenged Cassidy directly. “U on some clown s— right now,” he wrote. “Just say it 2 my face… I’m always home… Y’all b getting beside y’all self with this send button don’t confuse this twitter wit real life… #hating.”
It’s actually the second major spat for Meek Mill this week. Earlier, the rapper made waves for battling with Philly pastor Rev. Jomo K. Johnson. The two traded heated words after the priest staged a boycott against Meek for his Drake-featured hit “Amen.” After Johnson claimed the MC was blasphemous and even self-published a book about it, the two argued about who actually does more for the communities of Philadelphia.
