Rick Ross And MMG’s Self Made Vol. 2: A Quick Look

Rick Ross and his Maybach Music crew dominated the airwaves last summer with hits like “I’ma Boss,” and as the collective gears up to drop several solos LPs in the coming weeks, Rozay, Meek Mill, Wale and new additions Stalley and Omarion are stirring things up with Self Made Vol. 2. The compilation disc dropped on Tuesday (June 26), and this one will be making some noise.

Notable Features:
After killing his feature on Rich Forever‘s “Triple Beam Dreams,” Nas returns with another memorable verse on “This Things of Ours,” making us pray for collaborations on both the Queens rapper’s Life is Good LP, and Rozay’s upcoming God Forgives, I Don’t. “Bury Me A G” includes a feature from T.I.,  while Bun B holds his weight on “Black on Black” and Wiz Khalifa adds some of his chilled out stoner flow on “I Be Puttin’ On.”

Standout Pick:
“Power Circle.” In addition to a Kendrick Lamar feature, Stalley, Wale, Meek Mill, Ross and Gunplay all take a turn on this monster of a track, which introduces fans to the album over the span of 8-plus minutes and gives each MMG soldier a chance to reflect on their varying degrees of success.

For their second compilation album, MMG enlisted the help of some of their favorite beatsmiths, plus a couple new additions: Rico Love, Don Cannon, Young Shun, Beat Billionaire, Boi-1da & The Maven Boys, Harry Fraud, The Beat Bully, Ayo, Cardiak, Lee Major.
