Beef in the hip-hop world is much like a revolving door; it keeps going and going. Fresh off another statement from an alleged victim present during the Chris Brown and Drake brawl, 50 Cent has shared his thoughts on rap’s latest headlining feud. While making radio rounds to promote his new album, 5 (Murder by Numbers), the G-Unit CEO revealed that if the hip-hop heavyweights duked it out one-on-one, he’d place his money on Team Breezy.
“I guess it’s ’cause of all the physical things with dancin’ and movin’,” Fif said during his chat with San Francisco radio station KMEL. “He be slippin’ and movin’. I don’t see Drake doing that. Chris be havin’ his shirt off. He got one of them MMA fighter looks. Like he might have did karate when he was a kid. He kickin’, doin’ splits and stuff. This could really get interesting.” h
Despite his humorous twist on the fight, 50 told another radio station that he was “surprised” when he heard the news, adding, “I didn’t know what happened.”
For a rapper who’s been in his share of feuds, the MC did reflect his own personal experience to speculate what the origin of the duo’s beef might be. “Is it disrespect [about] who you are? Or is it about the actual girl? For me, I’ve been in situations where I’ve seen that the two lead reasons why you get laid out is over the money, or something to do with the girl,” he explained, before alluding to Rihanna.
“It’s odd. I didn’t really see them being involved in that kind of [thing],” he added.
