Kid Cudi took to his Twitter account on Tuesday morning (June 5) to announce the title of his upcoming album as, indicud. “This will be my own version of Dr. Dre’s The Chronic 2001,” he tweeted. The G.O.O.D. Music signee also said that he will assume many roles in the production of the album, including producing some songs, being featured on others or serving as the songwriter.

This will be Cudi’s first solo album since Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager, which debuted at No. 3 on the charts with 169,000 copies sold during its first week of release.

The release of indicud also serves as the follow-up to his collaborative album with Dot Da Genius titled WZRD, which was a different feel from Cudi’s usual musical style. “I think it definitely proves a point, that there was a method to my madness,” said Cudi about the album’s success,” he told MTV News of the album’s success, despite criticism. “The kids are out there and they want the music.”
