Serena Williams Make Her Rap Debut With New Song

It’s too bad Serena Williams didn’t make her rap debut during that short-lived Common and Drake beef, because the timing would’ve been delightful. A new rap song has surfaced from the tennis star, which she apparently recorded at B Major Music Group’s Florida recording studio last year.According to TMZ, the studio is owned by Williams’ good friend, Baltimore Ravens player Bryant McKinnie.

A sample of what you’re in for: “I ball hard no tennis racket/I can’t see these haters through my Gucci glasses/I make hits like batting practice–they be like Serena, is you really rapping?” Our question exactly. Serena has nothing prolific to offer on her track, and we assume that she was simply doing this for fun, in which case…go on girl.

When Common and Drake tossed words at each other on a few diss tracks back in January, there was plenty of speculation that some of the bad blood was over Common’s ex-girlfriend and Drake’s ‘close friend’ Serena Williams. Common denied that was the root of the beef, and the two rappers ended their feud with smiles, like it had never happened at all.
