Rick Ross is holding a Maybach Music Group press conference in New York City at 1p.m. on Wednesday (May 2) where he plans to give some important updates from his camp, and most importantly, about his anticipated album God Forgives, I Don't. MTV News' Sway Calloway caught up with Rozay on the video set of DJ Khaled's "Take it to the Head" in Los Angeles on Monday, and if we're reading between the lines correctly, we'll also be getting some new music today.
Although Ross wouldn't ruin the surprise he advance, he did hint that he'd announce a release date for God Forgives, I Don't, in addition to possibly releasing the album's first single following the press conference.
The Miami rapper promised it would be important chat, telling Sway, “it's about that time to put out some new music" and that we're "even [closer] than we both think to getting that new music."
"It’s just really keeping that momentum in the culture and the excitement and continuing to do things that’s not common," Ross explained. "I think that’s just something everybody's gonna be able to build on in the future and all I'm doing is taking he things I learned from Puffy Daddy, what I seen Birdman do, what I say Tony Draper do—just entrepreneurs that wanna go further. That’s what we wanna do, now that we’re in the position that we’re in.”
If this isn't a hint, we don't know what is: “It's most definitely time to deliver this album that the world has been waiting on. I feel it’s the most anticipated album of the year.”
Ross is also rumored to announced a new MMG signee today.
