The Rock Wins Wrestlemania XXVIII, Defeats John Cena

The Rock did exactly what he said he was going to for an entire year now, he put his boot to John Cena’s ass and won the main event of WrestleMania XXVIII. In the end Cena got a little too cocky and tried to mock one of the Rock’s finishing maneuvers “The People’s Elbow” and was met with a “Rock Bottom” and pinned 1,2,3 right in the middle of Miami’s Sun Life Stadium.

Rocky who has lived most of his life in Miami and played for the Miami Hurricanes before his wrestling career started, was the overwhelming crowd favorite with “Rock-Kee” “Rock-Kee” chants ringing throughout the stadium for the entire match. Cena, who is arguably the most polarizing grappling superstar was showered with a mix of “Let’s go Cena” and “Cena sucks.”

Diddy, Machine Gun Kelly And Flo Rida Invade WrestleMania XXVIII

Before the match Diddy introduced his new act Machine Gun Kelly who performed leading up to Cena’s entrance.

“Miami! WrestleMania are you ready?” Diddy said.

Moments later MGK performed “Invincible” and Flo Rida performed “Good Feeling” and the “Wild Ones” remix.

Kelly, wearing a white “Cleveland” tank top incited a chorus of boos with his words after. “Tonight is much more than a wrestling match,” he said. “One of the biggest egos get beat by one of the biggest underdogs.”

Wrestlemania 28 Predictions: The Rock Or John Cena?

He went on to say he was similar to Cena in the fact they were both underdogs.

Flo Rida had his chance to shine shortly after. Rapping shirtless, he looked like one of the wrestlers as he went through his hit “I Get a Feeling.”

During the show, WWE announced they broke the attendance record at Sun Life stadium with over 78,000 fans coming out to ‘Mania. Next year’s ‘Mania is already slated for April 7, 2013 at the Superbowl champs Giants’ and Jets’ respective Met Life Stadium in New Jersey.
