Drake Recreates Bar Mitzvah For ‘HYFR’ Video

By Sarah Brotherton

Get out your yarmulke and the Manischewitz, Drake is taking it back to his roots for the “HYFR” video from his sophomore album Take Care. Photos show Drake filming at Temple Israel in downtown Miami on Wednesday (March 21) dressed to the nines. In a slim cut black skinny suit with a white shirt and black skinny tie, Drizzy, with a little help from his friends, re-creates his Bar Mitzvah for the song’s video featuring Lil Wayne. But Weezy isn’t the only one to make a cameo, other guests included Trey Songz, Birdman, and DJ Khaled.

“HYFR” comes fresh off the completion of Drake’s last video “Take Care” which featured an appearance from Rihanna. The YMCMB rapper took to Twitter this week to announce that the completed video for “Take Care”  will be released on Friday (March 23).

This retro-inspired suit from “HYFR” is something we’re becoming accustomed to seeing Drake wear since his cover feature for GQ magazine. In a verse delivered just for GQ, the Toronto rapper admitted that he shares a little bit more than just verses with his boss, Lil Wayne, rapping, “It’s just the industry’s small, we all lust for the same women/You know the ones we saw before we came in it, I know we ain’t tripping/I know I got a couple things that Lil Wayne dipped in, ain’t ashamed to admit it.”
