Pharrell has his plate full serving as the musical consultant for the upcoming Oscars broadcast this weekend, but the famed producer made a little extra time for some fashionable endeavors. Pharrell will be a guest judge on an upcoming episode of “Project Runway All Stars,” which airs on March 1. On the new episode, the remaining contestants are tasked with using lighting technology to craft an avant garde design that Pharell will judge.
Pharrell will be working alongside German composer Hans Zimmers to provide a soundtrack for the 84th Academy Awards telecast. The two first worked together creating the score for Universal's animated 3-D film, "Despicable Me."
The two music men join a telecast that has already garnered its share of attention due to the departure of original newbie producer Brett Ratner ? last month after the "Tower Heist" director was criticized for using a gay slur at a movie screening and speaking in frank terms about his sexual proclivities on Howard Stern's satellite radio show. Ratner was quickly followed by his hand-picked show host, comedian comedian Eddie Murphy, who was swiftly replaced by Oscar veteran Billy Crystal.
